 Ms. Holub is a partner in the litigation section of Porter & Hedges. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of litigation. Ms. Holub's practice focuses on construction and insurance coverage disputes. She has handled appeals in Texas appellate courts and in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Holub has been named a “Texas Rising Star” in surveys conducted by Texas Monthly magazine in 2005-2008.
Ms. Holub's construction law experience includes:
- construction contract litigation
- construction delay claims
- payment and performance bond claims
- construction defect litigation
- lien claims and foreclosures
Ms. Holub's insurance coverage experience includes providing numerous coverage opinions and representing policyholders in matters involving environmental, commercial general liability, property and directors and officers coverage.
Recent representative matters include:
- Represented corporate policyholders in litigation involving insurance coverage under environmental policies for underlying cases asserting claims under RCRA and the Clean Water Act
- Represented insureds in litigation involving insurance coverage under D&O Policies for two underlying class action lawsuits
- Represented oil and gas company in insurance coverage dispute with numerous carriers regarding coverage for underlying cases by landowner alleging damage to the surface estate and groundwater
- Represented general contractor in successful appeal of trial court's denial of arbitration in case involving allegations of fraud and breach of contract
- Represented contractor in successful bid protest suit against a municipality
- Represented general contractor in complex litigation with owner in suit involving claims for extra work and delay damages
Ms. Holub joined Porter & Hedges, L.L.P. in December, 2001. From 1997 through 2001, she practiced law at Greenberg Peden P.C.
