 David Jones is a partner in the creditors' rights, bankruptcy and restructuring group of Porter & Hedges and has been practicing law since 1992. He is listed in the 2007 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law, and has been selected as a “Texas Super Lawyer” in Bankruptcy Law in surveys conducted by Texas Monthly since 2005. He was also named as one of the top 100 lawyers in the Houston Region by Texas Monthly in its 2007 survey, as well as one of "Houston's Top Lawyers" in a 2005 survey by H Texas Magazine. Mr. Jones applies his prior business experience in the manufacturing and corporate finance areas to resolving complex problems that arise in personal, business and municipal bankruptcy cases. His practice is focused on business and municipal restructurings as well as complex litigation issues that arise in bankruptcy cases. Mr. Jones also works with trustees, creditor committees and individuals that have complex insolvency problems. He has represented clients in many industry sectors including energy, technology, maritime, food service, manufacturing, telecommunications and chemical processing.
Prior to joining Porter & Hedges, Mr. Jones was a partner with Floyd, Jones, Rios & Wahrlich, PC. Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Jones was a financial analyst in the corporate finance department of a large FORTUNE 500 company for several years. He also has hands-on experience in the manufacturing and technologies industries. Representative Experience

No. 56, Harris County M.U.D. 216, West Harris County M.U.D. No. 7, Rankin Road Municipal Utility District, Fort Bend Levy Improvement District No. 12 and others.
- Representation of trustee in Guyana Development Corporation, Bilstat, Inc., Downhole Energy Services, Inc., Mathey-Leland Manufacturing Corporation, Five Star Restaurants, Inc., Clark-Geogram, Inc. Mr. Jones has also served as trustee's counsel in several hundred business Chapter 7 cases.
