 Joel Goldberg's practice focuses on energy-related transactions, with an emphasis on the finance, development, acquisition and divestiture of power projects. He also has substantial expertise in the renewable energy sector. He has been named a “Texas Rising Star” by surveys conducted by Texas Monthly magazine from 2005-2007.
Mr. Goldberg is also involved in a wide variety of real estate matters, including real estate finance, acquisition and disposition of real estate assets and leasing of all types of commercial real estate.
Prior to joining Porter & Hedges in 2004, Mr. Goldberg served for four years as the general counsel of Energy Developments, Inc., a publicly traded energy company, and before that he was a real estate associate at Jackson Walker, LLP. Representative Experience Energy

- Representation of bidder in negotiation for the acquisition of wind assets in West Texas.
- Representation of purchaser of 150 MW portfolio of power projects located across the United States.

- Representation of Australian listed fund in stock purchase of companies owning six landfill gas-fueled plants in the Houston area.
