 Mandy Diaz has a versatile practice involving transfer taxes, income taxes, and employee benefits. Her practice involves aspects of wealth preservation planning, estate administration, and post-mortem planning. Additionally, in connection with her work with the tax section, Ms. Diaz's practice includes all aspects of the formation and reoganization of corporations and limited liability companies. Prior to becoming an associate and while attending law school, Ms. Diaz worked at Porter & Hedges as a law clerk in the trust, probate, and estate planning section. Ms. Diaz is a member of the Order of the Barons. Representative Experience Ms. Diaz has participated in the firm's presentation of clients involving the following:
- Submission of plans to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for favorable tax qualification letters and voluntary correction programs
- Representing clients in transactions, including analysis of employee benefits and executive compensation under ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code in connection with mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructurings, investments and loans
- Preparation of federal estate tax returns
- Design and analysis of business structures aimed to maximize transfer of wealth to lower generations
