His practice focuses on the acquisition and divestiture of oil and gas properties, as well as general oil and gas contracts, including oil and gas leases, joint operating agreements, unit operating agreements and processing agreements.
Mr. Baker served as an Associate Editor for The Review of Litigation at the University of Texas School of Law. Additionally, he interned for Judge Lee Yeakel of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. |
Representative Experience
- Represented an energy company in negotiation of a joint development agreement and ancillary agreements in connection with a $3.2 billion acquisition of Marcellus Shale assets
- Represented an independent oil and gas exploration and production company in a joint venture agreement to acquire certain liquds-rich Eagle Ford shale properties
