Ms. Hellinger has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of litigation in the state and federal courts. She has handled appeals in both the Texas appellate courts and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Hellinger has represented foreign and domestic individuals, small, privately-held corporations, and multi-national corporations. She is experienced in bad faith litigation, antitrust litigation and compliance, probate litigation, civil appeals, and complex, multi-party commercial litigation. She has been named a “Texas Rising Star” in surveys conducted by Texas Monthly magazine from 2004-2008.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a major generator of electricity in antitrust lawsuits alleging manipulation of the deregulated Texas electricity market.
  • Represented a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in a lawsuit arising from the use of an over-the-counter medication.
  • Represented a major insurance company at the trial and appellate level in numerous lawsuits for breach of contract and/or breach of the duty of good faith and fair dealing.
  • Represented an individual in an appeal involving claims against him arising from actions he took when a member of Houston city government.
  • Represented a wealthy oilman, and ultimately his estate, at trial and on appeal in a highly publicized suit involving claims for tortious interference, fraud, conspiracy, defamation and usury.
  • Represented a purchaser of a foreclosed company who was later sued in a shareholder derivative suit by investors of the foreclosed company.
  • Represented a major insurance company in numerous multiparty asbestos cases.
  • Represented a large credit reporting agency in an antitrust lawsuit alleging conspiracy and monopolization in the credit reporting industry.
