 Ms. Briscoe currently handles all aspects of products and premises asbestos exposure cases from inception of the case to trial. She has prepared employee wrongful death asbestos cases for trial in Dallas, Harris, Jefferson and Smith County, Texas. Ms. Briscoe has served as second-chair counsel in asbestos and general commercial cases and has experience in medical malpractice and pharmaceutical products liability. Ms. Briscoe has been named a "Texas Rising Star" by Texas Monthly magzine.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Briscoe served as a law clerk for the Honorable Eric T. Washington, District of Columbia Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C. (1999-2001). She was also a research assistant to the Honorable A. Leon Higginbotham at Harvard Law School Kennedy School of Government (1998-1999). Ms. Briscoe also served as a legal intern at the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office in Boston and for the Gulf Coast Legal Foundation in Houston, Texas (1998). Representative Experience Ms. Briscoe handles a wide variety of litigation matters including asbestos, silica and chemical exposure cases, medical malpractice, DTPA actions and personal injury claims, including:
- Second-chair trial counsel representing major chemical company in a living mesothelioma premises liability case in Jefferson County, Texas.
- Second-chair trial counsel representing local mortuary owner in suit alleging deceptive trade practices, breach of contract, negligence and mental anguish in Harris County, Texas. The jury awarded zero damages to plaintiffs.
- Second-chair trial counsel representing adoptive parent in bench trial to terminate parental rights.
- Successfully argued motion dismissing all claims of medical malpractice against large hospital based on plaintiffs failure to produce an expert report in case.
