Corporate partner Rob Reedy discussed the wave of energy company-related IPO’s with the Wall Street Journal.

“There is another aspect of new energy technology that is driving companies to file to go public: High-tech drilling and production is expensive.

‘All this technology has de-risked the process, but you have to have the money to do it,' said Rob Reedy, managing partner at the law firm of Porter Hedges LLP, where he handles public capital raising for a variety of industries, including energy. 'The business is even more capital intensive than it used to be.’”
