Porter Hedges Represents Coral Reef Capital in its Acquisition of Viola Oil & Gas Holdings’ Illinois Basin Assets

Porter Hedges represented Coral Reef Capital and its portfolio company Shawnee Oil Company LLC (“Shawnee”) in their acquisition of the Illinois Basin assets of Viola Oil & Gas Holdings, LLC (“Viola”).

Coral Reef Capital is a New York-based private investment firm that is exclusively focused on private equity investments in the natural resources sector, including oil & gas exploration and production, metals & mining, agricultural minerals, energy and related infrastructure and services.  Headquartered in Carmi, Illinois, Shawnee acquires, develops and produces oil and gas leases in the Illinois basin.

Viola is a Houston, Texas based exploration and production Company focused on conventional and unconventional plays in the Mid-Continent.
