James Thompson and Eric Wade Named as New Practice Group Leaders

Porter Hedges announced today that James Thompson has been appointed to serve as the new Property & Finance practice group leader and Eric Wade has been appointed to serve as the new Litigation practice group leader.

James succeeds Jeremy Mouton who has served as Property & Finance leader since 2017. James is a partner in the Energy section and focuses on representing buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of energy assets and operators and non-operators in connection with their exploration and development activities.

Eric succeeds Jeff Elkin who has served as Litigation leader since 2015.  Most recently, Eric served on the Firm’s Management Committee since 2015. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including cases involving all aspects of the energy industry, intellectual property, trade secrets, financial fraud, environmental liability, shareholder disputes, qui tam matters, and virtually every type of business and commercial dispute.
