Ashley Prieto is of counsel in the corporate practice group and environmental section of Porter Hedges. Ashley has counseled firm clients on various environmental, health and safety issues relating to of a variety of regulatory programs, including air and water quality, solid and hazardous waste, and oil and gas. She represents clients in a range of industries, including chemicals, construction, oil and gas, oilfield service, waste management and manufacturing.

In her experience, Ashley has represented clients involved in a range of regulatory, permitting, remediation, compliance and enforcement matters, including participation in the negotiation of agreed orders in state and federal enforcement actions, the representation of clients performing remediation efforts pursuant to the Texas Voluntary Cleanup Program and the representation of clients in determining the applicability of state and federal regulatory programs. She has also represented clients involved in federal Superfund cost recovery litigation and corporate clients with respect to environmental due diligence arising out of various transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings and real property exchanges.

  • Environmental due diligence for a corporate finance advisory firm in a gas storage financing deal which was named as the 2011 North American Oil & Gas Deal of the Year by Project Finance magazine
  • Development and/or evaluation of regulatory compliance programs involving the federal Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and various state regulatory programs
