Kelly Ferrell is an associate in the litigation practice group of Porter Hedges.  Her practice focuses on a variety of business and commercial litigation matters, including employment litigation and consulting.  She has represented clients in both state and federal courts, and in domestic arbitrations.

Kelly has represented clients in cases involving FLSA allegations, discrimination claims, misappropriation of trade secrets, and noncompete agreements.  Her commercial litigation experience also includes oil and gas contract disputes, lender liability litigation, and construction defect cases.  She has assisted with several trial and appeals.

Prior to joining Porter Hedges, Kelly interned for Judge David Hittner of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.  In law school, Kelly served as the Senior Notes and Comments Editor for the Houston Law Review, where she was awarded best overall paper written for the Houston Law Review.  Additionally, she was inducted into the Order of the Barons, and received awards for the highest grades in legal research and writing and criminal law.  Before practicing law, Kelly was an English teacher for Klein ISD.
