Sarah Elliott is an associate in the corporate practice group of Porter Hedges. She works primarily as lender’s counsel for private debt financings in leveraged buyouts of lower-middle market companies, covering a diverse array of industries.  She has experience in a variety of finance matters including negotiating credit agreements, security agreements, mortgages, and closing documents.

Prior to joining the firm, Sarah represented public and private companies and lenders in secured and unsecured syndicated financings, including in the oil and gas sector.

Sarah obtained her J.D. from Duke University School of Law. While in law school, Sarah served as the Executive Editor of the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law and Public Policy, provided free legal advice and representation to low-income children through the Duke Children’s Law Clinic, and was also a volunteer judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Catharina Haynes.
