Porter Hedges Grows Corporate Practice with New Counsel Rikiya “Riki” Thomas
Porter Hedges is pleased to announce that Rikiya “Riki” Thomas has joined the firm as Counsel in the corporate practice group.
Riki’s practice focuses on representing public and private companies in a wide range of transactions, including mergers, stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, public and private securities offerings, and private equity transactions. She has worked with clients in various industries, including but not limited to energy, technology, manufacturing, and staffing industries.
She was selected to the Texas Rising Stars list in 2018 for Securities and Corporate Finance.
In addition to her law practice, Riki is active in the community. She is a tutor/mentor at The Forge for Families, serves as a founding board member of Valeo Preparatory School in Houston, and is a committee member for Leadership Houston. In 2017, she was named Alumnus of the Year by the Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota County, Florida.
Riki received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law and her B.S. summa cum laude from Alabama State University. She is admitted to practice in Texas and Florida.
