Laura Alaniz Elected Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation
Laura Alaniz has been elected a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Fellows are selected for their outstanding professional achievements and their commitment to the improvement of the justice system throughout the state of Texas. Each year, only one-third of one percent of Texas State Bar members are invited to become Fellows. Laura joins 15 Porter Hedges lawyers supporting the Foundation as either Fellows or Sustaining Life Fellows.
Laura is a partner in the Houston office of Porter Hedges. Her practice focuses on labor and employment law matters, providing guidance on how to avoid litigation and minimize the risk of claims. Laura regularly represents employers and their leadership in all types of employment disputes as well as advising on compliance issues.
Laura is Board Certified in Labor and Employment by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a member of the HR Houston Ambassador Committee. She is recognized as a leading lawyer in employment law by Best Lawyers in America and has been listed among the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Houston by the Texas Diversity Council.
