Katy Cox represents clients in complex contract disputes, bankruptcy litigation, oil and gas litigation, construction disputes, and general commercial litigation matters.

Katy serves on the steering committee for the firm’s Women’s Initiative, as a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, and is active in the firm's Recruiting Committee.

  • Represented chapter 11 trustees in preference actions to recover transferred assets
  • Represented secured lenders to obtain relief from automatic stay and otherwise protect interests in collateral

  • Secured dismissal of claims against design professional client in multi-million dollar dispute involving civil RICO, fraud, and unjust enrichment claims in the S.D. of Texas
  • Secured summary judgement victory as lead counsel in favor of plaintiff in contract dispute

    Second-chair counsel in defending oil and gas companies in contract and breach of fiduciary duty disputes

  • Second-chair counsel in defending design professionals in contract disputes
  • Represented former pharmaceutical employees in various state actions against common law allegations of wrongdoing

  • Secured favorable interpleader settlement with over 20 contractors and subcontractors in favor of plaintiff pipeline owner
