Patrick Dunn focuses his practice on patent litigation and patent licensing. His patent litigation activity includes research of law and technology, patent validity, and opinion on infringement.

Patrick has deep patent licensing experience with a large US patent aggregator, consisting of production of claim charts in the consumer electronics and semiconductor sectors.  Patrick’s patent prosecution background includes electro-mechanical assemblies, displays, touch screens, user interfaces, encryption and decryption protocols for secure bank transactions, and battery-related power technology. He is a named inventor on nine U.S. patents.

A graduate of the University of Akron School of Law, Patrick received CALI Awards of Excellence for LARW II and Patent Office Litigation. While attending law school, he worked as a patent agent for several companies/firms from 2015 through 2018, prosecuting utility and design patents and conducting prior art searches. Prior to law school, he had an extensive engineering career that primarily related to liquid crystal display technology and associated consumer electronics and semiconductors.
