Porter Hedges is a Houston-based law firm founded in 1981. We are one of the ten largest Houston-based firms and one of the 25 largest Texas-based firms.

This list recognizes firms with between 50 and 150 attorneys who "have what it takes to get ahead as a midsize law firm in a legal services market increasingly dominated by large-firm competition". The firm's banking and finance, bankruptcy and restructuring, construction, corporate mergers and acquisitions, environmental, intellectual property and insurance sections were recognized by Chambers USA in 2011. In addition, 14 attorneys were named by Chambers USA as "Leaders in their Field." Seventeen of our partners are listed in the 2010 Best Lawyers in America list. Fifty percent of our partners were selected for inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers from 2004 through 2011, and 10 attorneys were selected for inclusion in Rising Stars in 2011.
