Harris Stamey Receives Certification in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization

Porter Hedges is pleased to announce that Harris Stamey has received Board Certification in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law by The Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS). With the announcement, Harris is now the firm’s fourth Board Certified attorney in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law.

Harris represents oil and gas companies in complex commercial litigation cases with a focus on disputes in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. His clients include publicly traded and independent upstream exploration and production companies, midstream gatherers and processors, operators, non-operators, lessees, lessors, NPRI owners, and individuals as both plaintiffs and defendants. He has been selected for inclusion in Texas Rising Stars from 2016-2018 for Business Litigation.

TBLS Board Certification is a voluntary designation program certifying Texas attorneys in 24 specific areas of law. Board Certified attorneys must be licensed for at least five years, devote a required percentage of practice to a specialty area for at least three years, attend continuing education seminars, pass an evaluation by fellow lawyers and judges and pass a daylong written examination.
