Porter Hedges is committed to supporting the communities where we live and work. Our attorneys regularly donate their time to meaningful pro bono work. We participate in a wide variety of pro bono matters including sponsoring legal clinics, assisting non-profits, artists, and performers, representing asylum seekers and the disabled, and working on behalf of animals, veterans, women, and vulnerable children.

To foster an environment of helping those in need, Porter Hedges maintains an internal pro bono awards program presented yearly to the attorney who has shown an outstanding commitment to pro bono practice. The firm also offers credit hours to attorneys for their pro bono efforts.

Porter Hedges has been recognized as an Equal Justice Champion with the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program and annually sponsors Texas Access to Justice programs.

Our pro bono initiatives are managed by a standing Pro Bono Committee.
