Porter Hedges announced today that it has signed the 2021 Houston Bar Association’s (HBA) Gender Fairness Commitment Statement. The firm has signed all three versions of the statement which was originally drafted in 2006 and updated in 2018.

By signing the revised statement, Porter Hedges commits to improve gender diversity in leadership positions across the firm and to interrupt gender bias in recruiting, promotion, and retention practices. Signees of the HBA statement pledge to set measurable goals for their organization and to evaluate and update internal policies that may hold gender biases.

“We are proud to support the ongoing efforts to improve gender equality in the Houston legal community. As a firm we are committed to the growth, development, and advancement of our women as we strive for greater gender diversity at all levels across the firm,” said Managing Partner Rob Reedy.
