Porter Hedges Grows Litigation and Intellectual Property Practices with New Of Counsel Erin Villaseñor

Porter Hedges announced today that Erin Villaseñor has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the litigation and intellectual property practice groups.

Erin represents clients in all aspects of commercial and intellectual property litigation.  Erin has extensive experience in patent, copyright, and trade secret litigation and arbitration involving a variety of technologies, including oil and gas, biotechnology, medical devices, computer business methods, and telecommunications. Erin has also been counsel in several technology-driven litigations involving the Uniform Commercial Code, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, unfair competition, conspiracy, fraud and breach of fiduciary duties, restrictive covenants, and employment contracts. Additionally, Erin has litigated banking and securities cases.

Erin also counsels clients on FDA medical device regulatory issues and strategies.

Prior to her legal practice, Erin worked as a biomedical engineer/scientific reviewer for the United States Food and Drug Administration, Center for Devices and Radiological Health, Office of Device Evaluation. Additionally, she held a position as a regulatory specialist at a medical device company specializing in neuromodulation devices and also worked as a medical device consultant for a prominent consulting firm. Erin’s technical background and industry experience make her uniquely equipped to handle technologically challenging cases.

Erin received her J.D., summa cum laude, in 2009 from the South Texas College of Law, where she graduated first in her class and was a member of the South Texas Law Review.  The Texas Supreme Court recognized Erin for achieving the third highest score on the February 2010 Texas Bar Examination.
