Aaron Power Receives Certification in Business Bankruptcy Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization

The Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) announced that Porter Hedges attorney Aaron Power has received Board Certification in Business Bankruptcy Law. There are fewer than 105 board certified business bankruptcy lawyers in the state, and Aaron is the second bankruptcy attorney at Porter Hedges to receive this certification.

Board Certification is a voluntary designation program certifying Texas attorneys in 25 specific areas of law. Board Certified attorneys must be licensed for at least five years, devote a required percentage of practice to a specialty area for at least three years, attend continuing education seminars, and pass a written examination applied uniformly to all certification applicants.

Aaron is a partner in the Bankruptcy section. His practice includes representation of debtors in chapter 11 cases and out of court restructurings, secured lenders, asset purchasers and chapter 7 and 11 trustees. Aaron has extensive litigation experience in bankruptcy courts and appeals, including arguing cases before the Fifth Circuit. Aaron has previously been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer.
