Porter Hedges represented US Trinity Energy Services, LLC (“Trinity”) in an arbitration opposite Moosehead Harvesting, Inc. (“Moosehead”). Moosehead sought damages in excess of $12 million in connection with its claims arising out of a subcontract with Trinity in which Moosehead agreed to perform clearing work for the construction of a pipeline located in West Virginia.

Following evidentiary hearings held over videoconference, the Arbitrator awarded nothing on Moosehead’s $12 million claims. The Arbitrator further found that Trinity was the prevailing party in both the defense of Moosehead’s claims and in the prosecution of Trinity’s counterclaim.  Trinity was therefore entitled to its reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs amounting to more than $700,000.

US Trinity Energy Services, LLC is a full service contractor based in Argyle, Texas (outside of Dallas) that specializes in the construction of oil and gas transmission pipelines and related gathering pump facilities projects.
