Perry Phipps is a corporate transactional attorney focused on the upstream and midstream segments of the energy industry with an emphasis on transactions involving corporate mergers, asset acquisitions and dispositions, and joint ventures. He has closed nearly $5 billion in deals involving oil and gas assets throughout the United States.

Perry has extensive experience negotiating purchase and sale agreements, exchange agreements, farmouts, joint development and participation agreements, surface use agreements, master service agreements, and other energy-related documentation.

Prior to joining Porter Hedges, Perry served as an executive and general counsel for E&P companies where he executed and advised on acquisition strategies, regulatory matters, litigation management, general commercial matters and the development and production of upstream oil and gas assets.
