Eric’s experience includes counseling clients in a wide range of industries on the protection of their inventions and trademarks, as well as managing intellectual property portfolios, preparing intellectual property and commercial agreements, and advising clients on general intellectual property matters.

He is a patent attorney registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and he has successfully represented clients seeking patent protection for a variety of technologies, including oilfield-related equipment, tire inflation systems, software, meteorological equipment, biotechnology, and chemical compounds and processes. Eric has also handled inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and he assists clients with trademark applications.

Eric is also a skilled trial and appellate advocate, representing clients across the country in a variety of matters including complex commercial litigation, theft of trade secrets, patent infringement, and trademark infringement. He is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and he has handled appeals and mandamus proceedings in state and federal appellate courts.
