Our Commitment to Equality and Justice

As we all have seen over the last few days, the senseless killing of George Floyd has inflamed racial and political tension across all of our communities.  Aligned with the voices that are expressing outrage, we cannot be tolerant of racism and we are heartened by the outpouring of support for the rights of all people to be safe and respected. We are proud that Porter Hedges has always been a place that values skill and integrity regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or beliefs of any kind. As we have many times before, we encourage all members of our firm to lead by example, humbly considering all perspectives as we work towards advancing diversity and inclusion and respect for all.

On a positive note, the pandemic has brought us together in many ways we did not anticipate.  Our hope is that out of these recent events, we can also develop a stronger bond and commitment to equality and justice.
