Porter Hedges is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Tiblets has joined the firm as a partner in its Energy Litigation practice, further expanding the firm’s nationally recognized capabilities in complex oil and gas disputes.

Elizabeth represents energy companies across the United States in their high-stakes litigation, with particular emphasis on upstream oil and gas matters. In addition to handling joint operating agreement disputes and other complex contractual matters, she has litigated royalty underpayment claims in Texas and many other oil and gas-producing states. Elizabeth played a key role in obtaining favorable opinions from the Texas Supreme Court and North Dakota Supreme Court regarding post-production deductions. Her experience includes class action litigation, trials to both bench and jury verdict, arbitrations, and appeals.

Elizabeth is widely recognized as one of the leading oil and gas litigators in the country. Chambers USA ranks her Band 1 in Oil & Gas Litigation (Nationwide), and Legal 500 has named her among the leading lawyers for Energy Litigation: Oil and Gas. She has also served as a Council Member of the State Bar of Texas Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Section since 2024.

“Elizabeth is a top-tier oil and gas litigator with a national reputation for excellence,” said Joyce Soliman, Co-Managing Partner of Porter Hedges. “Her experience and leadership align seamlessly with our clients’ needs, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the partnership.”

Elizabeth earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and her B.B.A., summa cum laude, from Texas Christian University.
