Elizabeth Tiblets handles complex energy litigation matters, primarily those involving upstream oil and gas issues. She represents clients throughout the United States on a wide variety of energy industry topics, such as alleged royalty underpayment, joint operating agreement disputes, and other contract disputes. She is skilled in handling class action lawsuits. Elizabeth has tried cases to the bench and to jury verdict, in addition to handling arbitrations and appellate matters.

Elizabeth has been a Council Member for the State Bar of Texas, Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law since 2024.

  • Represented a major exploration and production company as first chair in a trial that ended with a unanimous jury verdict for the company
  • Represented a subsidiary of a global publicly-traded oil and gas company in numerous putative class actions filed by royalty owners throughout the United States (Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and North Dakota) and obtained summary judgment or dismissal of class allegations in a number of these cases.
  • Represented a major exploration and production company in a complex co-owner dispute involving the parties' joint operating agreement and whether post-production costs could be deducted from an overriding royalty interest.
