Porter Hedges Real Estate Section Remains Active in the Houston Market

Porter Hedges real estate section has recently represented two developers and one financial institution in three separate projects around the Houston-area.

Representation of Developer NewQuest Crosswell in a New Mixed-Use Project in Northwest Houston

Porter Hedges represented developer NewQuest Crosswell on Northwest Park Crossing, a 4.2-acre mixed-use project. The project will include Hotel Bella, a 43-room hotel, which starts construction there this month and will deliver in June. It’s being developed by Fourth Dimension Builders.  A 3,000-square-foot Raising Cane’s is also under construction and is expected to open in December. NewQuest Crosswell has letters of intent for the remaining two pad sites in the development for a medical facility and a national fast-food chain.

Representation of BancorpSouth for Project Financing of the Development of a 242-unit Class A Downtown Houston Mid-Rise Community

Porter Hedges represented the lender, BancorpSouth, investing in a 242-unit multifamily community in downtown Houston. Allied Orion Group broke ground on Block 384 which is targeted for completion by 3Q 2017.

Allied Orion Group partnered with Houston EB5 and ATMA to provide the equity for Block 384 development, and BancorpSouth Bank provided project financing. Located at 1825 San Jacinto Street just off I-45 and U.S. 59, Block 384 is convenient to downtown businesses and a wide array of dining and entertainment options. Designed by Meeks + Partners, Block 384 will include many designer elements and is being designed to meet the National Green Building Standards Bronze Certification criteria.

Representation of Read King in the Development of Star Cinema Grill in Cypress, Texas

Porter Hedges represented Read King as the developer of a Star Cinema Grill dine-in theater complex in Cypress, Texas.  Houston-based commercial real estate firm Wulfe & Co. represented Star Cinema. 

The 45,000-square-foot theater will feature the latest technologies, provide full restaurant service delivered to patrons' seats, and will also host events. The theater is expected to open in the summer of 2017.
