Porter Hedges Represents Austin-based Longhorn Car-Truck Rental in its Sale of Assets to Herc Rentals Inc.

Porter Hedges represented Longhorn Car-Truck Rental, Inc., a family-owned car, truck, and equipment rental provider, in the sale of certain of its assets to Herc Rentals Inc. (NYSE: HRI). The assets included passenger vehicles, vans, box trucks, pickup trucks, semi-trailer trucks, dump trucks, and water trucks.

Longhorn was founded in 1975 and is based in Austin, Texas. Prior to the closing of the transaction, Longhorn had a fleet of more than 700 vehicles for rent, including compact, medium, full-size and premium cars, SUVs and various other trucks. Longhorn continues to rent construction and heavy equipment under the brand HL Equipment, Inc.
